Transport of Dangerous Goods / Convey Dangerous Goods by Road Course (TDG)

What is the Transport of Dangerous Goods / Convey Dangerous Goods by Road Course?

Transporting dangerous goods on South African roads requires compliance with Chapter 8 of the Road Traffic Act (1996) and SANS 10231 regulations. This training is essential for any driver responsible for the safe handling, loading, transportation, and offloading of hazardous materials.

The course equips drivers with the necessary skills to safely convey dangerous goods while adhering to legal, safety, manufacturer, and industry requirements. In addition, participants will learn to manage potential incidents effectively to minimize risk and ensure road safety.

Drivers applying for or renewing a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP “D”) must successfully complete this accredited training and receive a certificate of competence.
